JOHN'S MOLONG BLOG: 11 FEBRUARY 2017

It’s time to take care — of ourselves, of our friends and families, and of our animals. The heatwave across the country is expected to worsen over the weekend, with Rural Fire Services warning of potentially catastrophic fire conditions.

The Bureau of Meteorology says New South Wales could face its hottest February day on record, as temperatures are expected to reach 47ºC (that’s 116.6º on the old scale) in western parts of the state.

Sporting officials around the State are warning players of potential hazards. Greg Pringle, Honorary Secretary/Treasurer of Molong Cricket, has, Molong Online believes quite rightly, cancelled today’s round of the competition.

SATURDAY 11 FEBRUARY WEATHER FORECAST

Molong: 42ºC max; hot and partly cloudy

Orange: 39ºC max; hot and mostly sunny

Sydney: 39ºC max; hot, evening cool change
