From Molong on 31 December 1915, The Molong Argus reported: "Thousands of sons of this fair young land have gone forth during the year to assist the Mother land and her brave Allies in preventing the liberties, and the democracy of the world, being destroyed by a murderous and treacherous enemy, who at the same time has proved himself wonderfully powerful and resourceful."
