From Molong on 31 January 1913, The Molong Argus reported: "We quite agree with the action of the Municipal Council in supporting the request of the Parkes Farmers and Settlers Association, to assist in urging upon the Commissioners the need of an additional daily passenger train from Forbes to Orange, to connect with the Dubbo Sydney passenger in Orange. There is no reason why the Molong-Forbes line should not have its day train ..."
