Festive greetings and a yummy quiche recipe from Molong CWA
Molong CWA hopes you have had a wonderful Christmas and New Year with your family and friends.
This is the time where we can get celebrate the year with all its ups and downs, and to look forward to the year ahead and what it may bring us.
We know that this has been a hard year for many because of the drought that we are in.
It can be really stressful and hard, but CWA of NSW Drought Aid could assist you.
Drought Aid is there to assist-drought affected farmers to help with household expenses up to the maximum of $3000 per family/household.
These expenses can include grocery bills, vehicle maintenance, school, electricity, rates, and telephone, dental and medical and can be for current or outstanding expenses.
As of December, there had been $6.83 million given to farmers.

A good, easy and cheap meal that might be helpful to use up your leftover meat or vegies is a quiche, and below is a recipe that is loved by young and old in one of our members’ homes.
Quiche
INGREDIENTS (For 4-8 depending on slice size):
6 eggs
1 cup milk
1/2 chopped onion
1 cup of bacon or ham or whatever you want
1/2 cup self-raising flour
65g melted butter
1 and 1/2 cups grated cheese
METHOD
Pre-heat oven to 180ºC
Mix everything together into a bowl and place into a buttered quiche dish bake for 20-25 minutes or until cooked through.
NOTE
You can also use gluten-free flour. It just takes a little while longer to cook.
You can also use any vegies or meat you would like.
This is can also be great to have in the freezer for when you have visitors or need a quick meal.
