2018 FOOD Week digital program now available … but Molong’s 100-Mile Dinner is missing
The FOOD Week Association has today released the digital version of its 2018 FOOD Week Program, with the main change from a Molong perspective being the loss of the apparently highly successful 100-Mile Dinner on the town’s Village Green.
It has been replaced in the program’s half-dozen Signature Events by an Autumn Grazing Dinner to be held in Blayney on Monday 9 April.
The other Signature Events comprise: the daily Meet the Producer sessions at the Orange Regional Museum, headquarters for the festival; the FOOD Week Night Market at Robertson Park, Orange, on Friday 6 April; the FOOD Train excursion from Sydney on 13-15 April; Forage on Saturday 14 April; and the Sunday Producers Market and Brunch in Cook Park, Orange, on Sunday 15 April.
President of FOOD Week, James Sweetapple, said: “By releasing the digital copy first it is hoped that over time we will print less and less copies and subsequently decrease our reliance on the printed program. This is a small step in our strategy to become more environmentally responsible when it comes to our paper usage.”
The printed program will be available on January 15.
This eMag version is environmentally and screen friendly but for those who still want to print a few pages, they can still do this by using the tool bar at the bottom of the screen. There is also a share icon that enables people to share with friends by email. This software has been in use for a number years, but this is the first time that the committee have emphasised this format as one of the main ways to find out about events.
Tickets to Signature Events will be available from 10am on January 15 via www.orangefoodweek.com.au.
