YEOVAL WATER: 15 FEBRUARY 2017

Level 1 water restrictions for Yeoval

Level 1 water restrictions were introduced yesterday (Tuesday 14 February) for Yeoval.

Cabonne Council’s capacity to supply reticulated water to Yeoval residents has been significantly reduced because flows have decreased substantially in the Buckinbah Creek.

Level 1 water restrictions mean that watering of gardens, lawns and external areas around properties and other outdoor areas is permitted only between 7am to 9am and 6pm to 8pm

Vehicles may still be cleaned on grass surfaces, while swimming pools may still be filled and topped up.

The existing Yeoval reticulated system supplies residents with chlorinated raw water only, which is non-portable, with alternative sources of drinking water arranged by each householder.

The council has asked for residents’ assistance in reducing water consumption to help maintain sufficient supply for essential household purposes.

Anyone seeking further information should not hesitate to contact Cabonne Council’s Engineering Department on 6390 7100.
