Jayes’ Libby Oldham throws her hat into the Cabonne ring

While formal intention to stand for Cabonne Council can’t be registered until closer to the declared election date of 9 September, Molong’s Libby Oldham has indicated that she will definitely be throwing her hat into the ring.

Libby and her husband Hugh own Jayes Gallery in Gidley St, Molong, and she has been extremely active over recent years on regional and local arts and tourism bodies.

While she seems most happy about the Government’s decision to allow Cabonne to stand alone and not be merged with Orange and Blayney, she also is determined for the council to take a more active role as regards the region really stamping its mark in a broader context.
