Reynolds Street, Molong
Most people who live in Molong know Reynolds as the side-street that rises off the Mitchell Highway on the northern edge of town and borders the Molong Hospital.
But who was it named after? According to the Molong Historical Society, one Sylvanus Roy Reynolds.
Sylvanus Roy Reynolds, son of SP Reynolds, became manager of the Burrawong property in 1909.
In 1922 he was elected to the Amaroo Shire Council, on which he served for the next 34 years.
For 20 of the 34 years, he was President.
