Cudal springs back into the mix

It looks like Molong Online was much too quick to wipe Cudal from finals possibility in this season’s Molong district cricket competition.

With Cudal beating Magpies (5/187 off 40 overs against 8/169 off 40 overs) in a tense struggle and Country somewhat more easily accounting for Telegraph (5/174 off 26 overs against 9/162 off 40 overs), the competition ladder has Country clearly in front on 42 points, but with the other three teams on level pegging on 26 points each.

With the fourth placed team missing out on the finals series, it bodes well for plenty of excitement on the run home.

Country would have to lose the majority of its remaining games to miss out on the Minor Premiership and that clearly isn’t going to happen. As for second, third and fourth, who knows?

Maybe Magpies, with three consecutive losses, look the shakiest.
