Andrew Gosper steps up for President’s Day

Manildra Bowling Club’s President’s Day was held yesterday (Sunday 11 December) and with President Des Cross laid up in hospital, Vice-President Andrew Gosper stepped up for the day.

The club wishes Des a speedy recovery and hope he is home for Christmas.

The day was a great success with Cumnock taking home the first-place trophies and Parkes Railway the runners-up.

Thank you to all involved, especially the staff and the ladies in the kitchen for a wonderful lunch.

Friday twilight winners last week were Lachlan Campbell, Adam Morton and Sonja Trevena. Runners up were Greg Pallier, Andrew Gosper and Anthony Regan.

The Saturday night Mini Carnival saw a few extra attendees this week with visitors from Trangie joining in the fun.

Winners on the night were Logan Fraser (Trangie), Mark Gosper and Anthony Regan. Runners up were Laura Whiley, Skye Barber (Trangie) and Adam Campbell.

Friday and Saturday social bowls were back as normal last week.

This is the last week till after the Christmas break. Play will resume on the 6 January.

This Sunday night the club will be having its huge Christmas raffle, with tickets going on sale at 6.30pm. Make sure you get in early to win some great prizes.

At the end of the raffle we will be giving away a two-night stay at the Mirage Hotel in Newport, Sydney. You must be there to win the prizes.

The club wishes all members and guest a safe and happy Christmas.
