Three good games of championship singles at Manildra

Three good games of championship singles were played on Sunday, with Ben Allcorn playing well to defeat Sam Allcorn, Glenn Gosper holding his nerve to defeat Greg Pallier by two shots, and, in a game that had bowls on the jack every end, Graham Fliedner defeated Adam Campbell.

Manildra travelled to Parkes on Saturday for the Carty-Price Shield, but in very hot conditions, the boys could not find their form and the shield stayed in Parkes.

Friday Twilight winners this week were Dot Williamson, Sam Pallier and Sonja Trevena. Runners up were Bruce Miller, Barry Gosper and Troy Williams.

Saturday night Mini Carnival winners were Sean Gosper, Craig Williamson and Andrew Gosper. Runners up were Cheryl McConnell, Barry Gosper and Greg Pallier.

This weekend the club will be having its night bowls as per normal, and the Corner To Corner Jackpot is now up to $580.
