Molong gets another life for Grinstead Cup match

Cowra has agreed to postpone its Grinstead Cup cricket match against Molong from this coming Sunday to Sunday 12 February and avoid, hopefully, another hollow victory by forfeit. Cowra recently defeated Forbes after the latter couldn’t raise a team.

The delay should help the Molong selectors, Nigel Brazier and Troy Adams, come up with a solid side for what is a significant fixture.

It used to be regarded as an honour to be selected to represent your town in the prestigious Grinstead Cup, but these days players don’t seem willing to travel the relatively short distance to Cowra. What a shame.
