Success for both Manildra Pennant teams

It was a good weekend for Manildra Bowling Club’s Pennant teams, with both grades recording a win.

The No 4 team had a good 10-0 win over Majellan, which now moves the boys into second place on the ladder behind Wallerwang who they play this Sunday.

The No 6 team travelled to Molong and got the points 8.5-1.5 to keep them in the running if a few results go their way.

Both teams are at home this weekend.

The No 4s play Wallerwang with a 10am start, while the No 6s play Parkes Railway at 1pm.

Come down and support the teams on Sunday. There’ll be plenty of great bowls to see so cheer them to a win.

The final of the Handicap Consistency Singles was played on Saturday with Sam Pallier taking the title over Iain Campbell.

There was one game of Club Pairs this week, with Tad and Sam Allcorn just finishing over the top of Greg and Steve Trevena.

Friday Twilight winners were Peter Lord, Sonja Trevena and Ned Kurta, with runners-up being Will Cox, Sam Pallier and Tim Williamson.

The Corner to Corner did not go of last week, with the closest being Sam Pallier earning himself a beer.

This week’s jackpot will be $750 and start at 6.30pm Saturday evening.
