MANILDRA BOWLS: 11 APRIL 2017

No 4 Pennant team defeats Majellan and scores a play-off spot

It was a great result on the weekend for Manildra Bowling Club’s No 4 Pennant team, who travelled to Bathurst to take on Majellan, with the winner to move into the play-offs.

With the whole team playing well, the boys managed a 10-0 win on the day, so hearty congratulations to all concerned. Molong Online joins the club in wishing them all the best as they move further into the play-offs.

Manildra’s  No 6 team also finished on a high, with a 9-1 win over Molong.

It was a great effort by the team right through the season, especially as they lost one of their skips mid-season to the No 4 team.

They finished second on the table and should be very proud of their effort.

Both teams went up a grade from the previous year and it is a great achievement for the club.

The club has bowls on this Easter Saturday starting at 2pm, so check the board for details. Following the bowls, the Corner to Corner will be held and, with the jackpot now at $835, it’s definitely worth coming down and trying your luck.

The restaurant will not be open for dinner on Good Friday and the club will operate from 2pm to 6pm. Easter Saturday and Sunday trading will be as normal, with market night on Sunday starting at 6.30pm.
