MOLONG & DISTRICT FAMILY TREE GENEALOGY INDEX

MOLONG GENEALOGY: 25 OCTOBER 2016

The Parslows join the Packhams

Molong Online's Molong district family tree, or rather a compilation of district family trees, can be accessed by visiting http://molong.tribalpages.com. There is no need to enter any password.

The latest additions, mainly of the Parslow family, come thanks to a couple of emails from former Molong resident Richard Prideaux, who now lives in the Sydney suburb of Baulkham Hills. He is a grandson of Sidney Dorset Parslow, born in Molong in 1884.

One of the people listed is Ann Jaye. Richard tells me that a Bert Jaye had a bootmaker's business in Gidley Street, just up from Commonwealth Bank. This is most likely the site of the present-day Jayes Gallery. Another Jaye had a tank-making business in Shields Lane. "My Grandmother had bees the tankmaker looked after for her," wrote Richard Prideaux.

The tree now contains people belonging to the following extended familes:

BLOOMFIELD, BRAZIER, PACKHAM, PARSLOW

Click on the above link to begin exploring those families.

Though obviously still in very early days, the tree already contains some interesting information. I realise the enormity of the task I have taken on and would obviously appreciate your help — corrections, suggestions, information, or just plain encouragement. Please contact me by email (mailto:john@molong.com.au) or via Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/MolongOnline).

The tree has been put together using Tribal Page’s online software. I’ve long found it a very useful tool. Visit http://www.tribalpages.com.
