SUSTAINABLE INDULGENCE: 17 APRIL 2017
Christmas in July with Josh and Emma ... and friends ... and kids ... and animals
Josh and Emma Meijer are quite rightly elated with the way they handled their ambitious Langdon’s on Peabody April Long Lunch recently.
So much so that they’re planning a follow-up winter event on the afternoon of Saturday 29 July Christmas in July once again mostly featuring foods they have produced themselves.
This month’s event was an absolute triumph that really did celebrate the philosophy of sustainability they pursue at Molong Farm.
Given the weather in late July, Josh and Emma will sensibly station the event in their hayshed rather than as a moving outdoors feast around their property.
The venue is at 1241 Peabody Rd, Molong, and the designated time from noon till 5pm, though on past experience you can expect to be indulged a little longer.
The supplier of accompanying wines is yet to be announced, though Josh tells me that several local wineries, including nearby Printhie, who supplied many excellent bottles for this month’s event, are in the selection mix.
The aim is to have about 60 people attending and the cost is $140 per head. Phone Josh on 0473 517 635 or visit www.themolongfarm.com.
I’ve seen the proposed menu and it is quite sensational, but I’ll save the details for a later posting.
